“Joe DeShayes and his residential resort design crew are the best around. They were able to take our backyard grass lot and turn it into our dream backyard. As parents of five children we wanted to make sure that our kids and their friends would want to stay home as much as possible. The DeShayes Courts concept of an all inclusive court for basketball, tennis, hockey, etc, is perfect and we have found many other uses for the court including roller blading, biking for the little ones, and even a backyard party with dancing and a band. Dad gets to use the putting green to improve his game and the kids bring over their friends to play on the court. Joe also helped in the design of our pool and made sure he was there every step of the way to oversee the project.

I wanted to send you a letter to thank you for the fantastic job you did on the driveway basketball court at one of the properties I manage in Far Hills. Working with you was an absolute pleasure due to your extensive knowledge, reliability, and responsiveness. When our mason installed the anchor for the basketball unit in the wrong location, I was worried that we would run into a problem, but you came out the next day with a new anchor and immediately corrected the issue which made me very confident in the dependability of your company.
The guys were great. While there was a lot going on at the property due to the home construction, they installed the unit and painted the lines in one day and were quickly in and out while still leaving me with a high quality finished product.
After the job was completed, we realized that we needed something to protect the landscaping from the loose basketballs. Your crew designed and installed a custom netting which saved the landscapers from what could have turned into a lot of extra time and expense.

I can’t begin to tell you how pleased we are with the multi purpose court DeShayes Dream Courts installed for us. My son is crazy about basketball and lacrosse and uses the court everyday to practice both (pitch back is an excellent lacrosse practice). The court is the go to place when he has friends over and I love that they are active instead of sitting on a couch playing video games. One of the surprising, but greatest joys I have with the court is I’ve found that it has become the place for great discussions between me and my pre-teen son. While direct questions of ‘How was your day?” usually get a single word “fine” from him, when he’s shooting baskets or hitting lacrosse balls he opens up and we have great discussions about his game, his friends and life in general.
I have been so happy with the follow up service DeShayes has provided. They have come out to replace a burned out bulb and proactively, swept and serviced the court, nets and backboards. I am used to struggles with contractors who do the minimum to get the job done, but DeShayes is the opposite, they provide great, efficient service of any problems and surprise and delight with overall maintenance care.
Every step of this project was smooth with them and years later we are still enjoying the court every day.
